- Need to find a proper SW radio for walking around in these conditions..
I'd probably get pulled over for looking too weird. Out walking at zero degrees farenheit is weird enough, but adding a big whip antenna to my backpack would surely get some attention ! jw wb9uai milwaukee (so many things to fix ... so little time) |
Had my eTR7 outside today (Sunday). With the wx sunny and 74F, I sat on my
porch, eating a baby pizza, drinking a beer, and surfing the SW bands.12, 15, and 17 MHz were open. Life is good in SE Texas. Bill, K5BY |

-9 here in MN this AM. Winchill only -30. I went grocery shopping the other night when the temperature was -5/F. When I came out of the store with the groceries, I decided to do an experiment. I tied a one gallon bottle of juice to the car's roof rack and drove home. The wind chill was at least -50/F when the car was moving. When I got home the juice was almost frozen solid. It went from room temperature to frozen in 15-minutes. It would take at least two hours to do that in a refrigerator freezer. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |
