How did you unfreeze your face ??

Well, it's not _that_ cold.

Had a face mask,

AHA ! !

no face was no problem, but legs got friggen cold (blue
jeans).

Yes, even with Long Johns, it's cold ! ! !

Actually walked back to work the next day with a different car battery in a
back pack ... temp was 0 F, but with a big hooded parka, it wasn't too bad (3
miles). Although my legs got fairly tired lugging that bugger up the hills.

One of those " That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger" deals

I try to get in some hiking every month; used to be weekly but I kinda lost
interest in the winter . .

& yes my legs ache afterwards ;-)

- Very good news ...

- Need to find a proper SW radio for walking around in these conditions..

I'd probably get pulled over for looking too weird. Out walking at zero degrees
farenheit is weird enough, but adding a big whip antenna to my backpack would
surely get some attention !

Had my eTR7 outside today (Sunday). With the wx sunny and 74F, I sat on my
porch, eating a baby pizza, drinking a beer, and surfing the SW bands.12, 15,
and 17 MHz were open.

Life is good in SE Texas.

-9 here in MN this AM. Winchill only -30.

I went grocery shopping the other night when the temperature was -5/F.
When I came out of the store with the groceries, I decided to do an
experiment. I tied a one gallon bottle of juice to the car's roof rack
and drove home. The wind chill was at least -50/F when the car was
moving. When I got home the juice was almost frozen solid. It went from
room temperature to frozen in 15-minutes. It would take at least two
hours to do that in a refrigerator freezer.
