DJB,
First - What Radio / Receiver are you using? Generally with modern Shortwave Receivers do not need an Antenna Tuner. Second - Try the using your Antenna with the 9:1 Matching Transformer and Coax Cable Lead-in-Line connected directly to your Receiver. Third - Do you have a good earthen Ground for both your Antenna and the Equipment in your Shack ? Fourth - IF you find that you are getting signal overload or need a better Signal then look for a Pre-Selector like the MFJ-956 or Grove Mini-Tuner Mini-3. iane ~ RHF .. .. = = = "DJB" = = = wrote in message ... To the group: Has anyone had experience with a random wire antenna hooked up to a 9:1 transformer with lead in wire going to a antenna tuner then to your receiver? Does the antenna tuner get affected by the inductance of the 9:1 transformer ? .. |
