M2,
"Hey, what happened to number 3 ?" There is the Classic (common) Liner Type of Scale: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and so on. There is the Logarithmic Type of Scale: 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 and so on. IIRC: This is called a Relative [Factor] Type of Scale: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and so on. (Twice as Good & Half as Bad) 1, 3, 9, 27, 81, 243, and so on. (3X as Good & 1/3 as Bad) 1, 4, 16, 64, 256, 1024, and so on. (4X as Good & 1/4 as Bad) [ I keep wanting to say that this is "Quantum" Scaling: But I can not remember is this is the term that applies. ] bwdik ~ RHF .. .. = = = Michael Moore = = = wrote in message ...
