OT George Bush brags he doesn't read newspapers

Doesn't he want to know what's going on?

What kind of example is he setting for children?

Is he trying to raise a generation of ignorant stooges?

Doesn't know what's going on???? Ludicrous! He knows more about "what's
going on" than you would think.

What kind of example is he setting for children?

How many "children" do you know that reads a newspaper, aside the funny
pages?

Is he trying to raise a generation of ignorant stooges?

The President is not in charge of raising kids. Last I checked, that's a
parents responsibility. By the way, most main-stream newspapers have a very
liberal bias. Ever read the Washington Post?

If you can't gather more information faster than reading a newspaper
there is a problem. On top of the fact that "print doesn't have to be
a newspaper". I have always gotten better and more diversified news
from shortwave (since 1951) or the net.

Actually, the info in newspapers is usually more in-depth than that heard on
most broadcasters. The best thing is to read several diferent newspapers each
day.

And what does it say about a President if he neither reads newspapers or
listens to radio? King Bush, the first, was a SWLer, but I've never heard of
Bush II listening.

Totally off topic, why post this to a radio newsgroup or am I missing
something?

Not really...Info should come from multiple sources including but not
limited to newspapers.

Good point....It's because people can't stick to the topics and these
groups are unmoderated.

It explains why GW knew so little about the world until he got a crash
course in everything after being elected. He's got to be one of the
least intelligent presidents in US history. Everyone on his staff is
smarter than him and they know it. That's why it's easy for them to
manipulate him.

Yeah, I guess you have to drive through Yale and Harvard with your windows
rolled up, so they don't throw diplomas in.
