That was always my complaint about any R71A I ever had the opportunity
to use. Though I do believe there are 'mods' for that.

Hi

Yep, the mods are realy excellent, too. My Kiwa modded R71E sounds
fine. I dare say it doesn't sound as good as a Drake or an AOR7030,
but it sounds fine to my ears. I enjoy program and ute listeing
without any problems.
