Default Technical Help on Grundig Satellit 500

Two Questions: When I scan the MW band on my radio it goes in
increments of 9mhz. I'd like it to go in 10Mhz movements. I
noticed a 9/10 switch in the unit when I did my LED mod and the
switch is definitely on 10. Is it possible there is another switch
in the radio that should be changed? Are there separate switches
for MW and SW scanning increments?

Second question: When the RF manual gain switch is moved from
automatic to manual - should the signal be lost at it's smallest
position? For example: Should I be able to use the manual control
to reduce the signal to less than auto mode - I can't seem to do
that. All manual positions of knob just make signal louder than
auto. Any ideas how it should work?

Regards
