Are we a Ham RADIO NG, or a soap-box ?

By definition, newsgroups are soapboxes...

The answer is yes.

Note the name ... this is a "shortwave" NG. Not "ham", although there are quite
a few hanging out here and as on any shortwave band, there is a lot of QRM
here.
