link.net: How many freaking times do you have to kill file someone???????? If the person is a creative troll, he will keep changing his header info to get around killfiles. The best solution I've found (in Xnews) is to find something in his header that is the same in all his posts, and killfile him using the score file. It works a treat, because there is almost always going to be something that's the same. Then, never announce that you have successfully killfiled him, because he'll find a way to get around it. |
Jim:
You really don't have to: if everyone would stop responding to the jerk, he would go away almost instantly. The best policy might be to killfile those who respond to him. -- Brian Denley http://home.comcast.net/~b.denley/index.html "Jim Hackett" wrote in message link.net... I'm aware of THAT method. I have killfiled the responders also. Every so
often, "they" change servers, I guess. Some people need more meds than others, I guess ;) "Brian Denley" wrote in message news:8WCVb.6724$032.24970@attbi_s53... I do agree that if nobody ever replied to a troll they'd quickly leave, but it seems to be an unrealistic expectation. -- Tom Sevart N2UHC Frontenac, KS http://www.geocities.com/n2uhc |
