Hey Stinger asshole, why not take this to a political group where you
can talk all you want about it without ****ing up this group you
inconsiderate asshole.

Big talk from an anonymous coward. Don't you think your own language is hurting
the group?

Please go away net-nanny!

Yeah, AOL outsourced their tech support jobs to India.

Did you see the Bush aide in the news today bragging that increased

outsourcing
is just another sign that Bush is taking the economy in the right

direction?

No wonder Bush is falling like a rock in the polls!

Dell Computer has outsourced most of it's tech support and online sales to
India. It's been that way for over 3 years now.

An article in Wired magazine explains how outsourcing to India is good for
the US. I however don't buy it.

Didn't see it, Professor. But any more I reluctantly admit I believe
it.

If I don't have a job by election day, my beloved Republican party can
kiss my vote good-bye. And if they think I'm the only one making that
promise, they're in for a rude awakening.

I'm with you LW.

Duhbya is undoubtedly the dumbest sob to ever be a president.

Has nothing to do with sitting behind a desk. The manufacturing industry is
going away fast. Manufacturing has been the economic backbone of this
country for fifty years. There is nothing to replace it with. The only ting
that really can't be outsourced are jobs were somebody has to be right
there. That leaves burger flippers and construction workers but the
government has an answer to that too. The alien import plan is meant to
replace what's left.

Gee, you're really a loser, aren't you? You want non-political posts?

Either
learn to use your filter or try some of the better-moderated Yahoo groups.

We don't need no net nanny!

Nobody that has used it likes it, either.

My son, a college student specializing in computer networking, makes some
pretty good extra money by troubleshooting and repairing computers.

A retired couple bought their first Dell the other day, and asked my son to
help them with their ADSL installation. They got the computer out of the
box, and it wouldn't power on.

So, not wanting to violate their warranty, he called "tech support" to tell
them what was up. After a 35-minute wait, he got a tech-support guy in
India with an accent so heavy that he had serious trouble understanding him.
Then, the guy was insisting on going through his "trouble-tree," even though
he was talking to someone with multiple certifications (including A+ and
MCSE).

Finally, the Indian tech support guy realized he was in over his head, and
let a supervisor (who was actually in the states) take over. With his
permission, my son opened the case, pulled off the CPU cowling, and found
what he had suspected all along -- the P4 processor had been jammed in --
bending several pins that didn't go into the processor mount on the
motherboard. No problem, Dell shipped another new unit (but you'd think
they'd check these things before they leave the factory, wouldn't you?).

Too many short-cuts, both in support and manufacturing!
