Fred: It never made much difference to my set up. I thought it was
going to be the big deal that made weak signals jump strongly from the
mud. It made a slight difference at times and could make the S meter
go up a bit on a few frequencies but I never found the recovered audio
was any better. The maximum antenna I ever used with it was an 80
foot long wire.

Maybe others have had better luck with this than I have.
