Those were the days for short wave. Radio Norway sent me a similar
letter, but they still sent the QSL back in 1967.
I miss those days.

A very similar thing happened to me with Solomon Islands when I first got
started.

QSL 'em whilst you can. Countries are disappearing at an accelerating rate from
the SW bands.

[SRI]

Shame that....

I first found SRI, about 10 years ago - listened to Swiss Shortwave
Merry Go round - Hosted by Bob Thomann, and Bob Zanotti (HB9ASQ, and
HB9GX, respectively)

I've even got an SRI QSL, and a few years ago, I QSLd Bob Thomann, while
he was working a special event station in Manchester, UK - You can't
miss his distinctive voice - And I've, as yet, never worked him!

IIRC SRI are now on Worldspace - Asiastar, to be exact!

Ah, but Frank, I said someone LIKE the Colonel.. not specifically the
Colonel.. :) I'm sure there are more than enough like him out there,

and
maybe even a few with $$$..

Well, there's Mark Koernke. I suppose he's like the Colonel, in more
than one way.
