In any event, I'm not so sure I would compare a bunch of amped-up earth-muffin students attacking cops (who have to manage their internal conflict over beating ass and making arrests) with Michigan outdoorsmen who just don't give a damn and might view the entire episode as "Sport"... I someohow feel you've been neither place. Besides teaching at Berkeley, I went to grad school in Michigan. Wayne State, in the slums of downtown Detroit. Those militia weekenders in their K-Mart camos aren't even the best shock troops in Michigan. The real professionals are those homesteaders in downtown Detroit.
