I didn't, Steve, but having made my point by agreeing with that post, then
seeing the next post completely misunderstand the entire concept, I didn't
think it worth my time to reply. I'm glad you did, though.

The most fascinating thing I see in "Atheists" is that they have made a
faith-based decision at least as profound as those that believe in God.
They're saying "I'm absolutely positive that there is no God, my mind is
made up."

I can understand the "Agnostic" argument much more readily -- "I haven't
seen enough evidence to believe in a God." But the atheist's belief that
they are absolutely certain that there is not a God is (whether they admit
it or not) a faith-based decision.

When witnessing the wonders I can find in nature, even in

Maybe it just proves democracy is working in Spain - and I might add,
without a judicial coup d'etat. It was a major issue in the campaign before
the terrorist bombing, and it probably played little role in the outcome.

I harken back to the days of yore when most families had one
parent at home - usually the Mom - and the kids had someone to
*talk* to. My wife points out that, 'way back in the Twenties,
convenience foods like peanut butter and cheese spread were
created, she believes, so that kids could look after themselves
while Mom and Dad went out for multiple serial nights on the town,
so I don't know if I'd argue for going back to the "good old days."

Thank you for your sentiment. We, in Spain also hope that you in US
are able to fight the terrorists that threaten you. All countries of
civilization face similar threat here from fanatics, and no matter our
disagreements in other areas, we in Spain will come to help USA in an
instant if anyone attacks you like those ******* fanatics on Sept. 11.

I'm not sure you are right on your points. Spain and every country nearby
can easily be monovered it by a short plane or train ride. To my line of
thinking this makes it EASIER for radical organisations to carry out their
dasterly acts.

I'm here in Australia that means we are the furtherest away from the two
largest (westernised) populaution masses of the world. To get here it's a
good LONG plane ride!!!! Most Aussies see taking a plane trip as a thing you
do for a holiday not like jumping in a taxi to go to work.

With that siad we also live here each day with a country made up of every
natioanlity you can poke a stick at. We live here in a country that is
largely NEW as we are originally settled be convicts. Thus WHITE people here
are some where in the history of are imported. Yes a TRUE Aussie is Either
Born here or of Aboriginal decent.

I've had the miss fortune of seeing here some people that are still in the
mind that they should bring the crap from their mother country here too....
This is where the buck stops and any Aussie will bail you up.

The point from me is we here live every day with a "pack of allsorts" as our
people. This leads to a great and rich culture when walking down the street.
They all live here under the banner of Australains. The only rule here is
check your greevances at the gate or **** off!!!
