Great listening! -- Brian Denley You aren't kidding - as clear, strong and solid as I've ever heard in 31m. Even a lot *quieter* than normal. Unfortunately, 60 meters is still "as usual". Tony Do you have any problems with interference from the Codar stations on 60-m? It really annoys me that the FCC has told the Codar people to use that band because they know SWL's don't have any power to do anything about it. They wouldn't dare interfere with communications like amateur radio, military or commercial utility transmissions on other frequencies/bands. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |

31 meter band
Last night (or early this morning), I was getting Radio New Zealand on 9885,
with my Yaesu VR-500 and a RS Extendable antenna. The amazing thing was that the antenna was totally collapsed at the time and I was getting 3 bars out of ten on the S-meter. Fantastic!! Eric KA6USJ Approx 38N 122W. |
