As far as " Leftie" or " Liberal" , Education opens your mind to other ideas..
Thats why so many Fanatical religions discourage education and brainwash people
with Rote Dogma,
pumping out a population of non thinking automatons ; and guaranteeing a Huge
revenue stream back to the religion .

Education is dangerous to established religions..
