Default Grundig YB-550PE

I have been using the YB-550PE for a month now and would like to share
my thoughts.I agree with the review at Eham.com-it has excellent
sensitivity,excellent selectivity,a great F.M. section,and a very
quiet frequency synthesizer.(They reviewed the TECSUN PL-230 version
of this radio.)However,I came across a couple of software bugs.If you
enter frequencies in the range of 1711-2999 mhz.,you have to hit enter
again after the number in order for the frequency to change.Try it-put
a strong station in like WWV at 10 or 15 mhz, then try to enter a
frequency in that range. You will still hear WWV until you hit enter a
second time.Another bug I found that happens only rarely is that when
you switch from SW to FM,the sound is muted-and you have to turn the
power off and on to get the audio back.I also found a command not in
the manual. To erase all memories, with the radio turned on,hold down
the alarm button until the display shows DEL ALL,then press the alarm
button again within a couple of seconds and all memories will be
cleared. It takes about 3 seconds to erase them all.
