In theory, greater vigilance at home might have exposed their conspiracy. There
were clues.

Two of the hijackers, Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaq al-Hamzi, were sought by the
FBI and the CIA as suspected terrorists.

An FBI agent in Phoenix, Arizona, had noted a pattern of Arab men signing up
for lessons at flight schools. Zacarias Moussaoui, the suspected 20th hijacker,
was learning to fly in Minnesota, apparently without asking for landing
lessons.

Clarke argues that if the President had been demanding action every day from
his top aides, they would have passed the heat down the chain of command, and
perhaps connections would have been made.

I'm sure you do! It's one of the 'fairy tales' you have on the shelf beside your
bed.

You know the one, Daddy probably reads it to you nightly.

If your wit and intelligence are anything resembling that of your
government's the world should be very, very worried..and they ARE!

Damn straight they are! I'm willing to bet we can take Canada in about 3 hours!

But then, what the hell would we do with it?

I think you summed it up right at the beginning! 'In theory...'

Clintons lack of integrity allowed Saddam to kill thousands.

Why did the US sell him that crap to begin with?

Clintons lack of integrity allowed the first bombing of the WTC to happen.

We are seeing everybody and their dog covering their own asses on this
one. Ricew is too afraid to testify. She might slip and give it away.

Clintons lack of integrity allowed the USS Cole to be bombed

Clutching at straws here.

Clintons lack of integrity allowed OBL and Al Qaeda to flourish.

The CIA and the rest of them MADE these organizations to give th
Russians a bad time in Afghanistan. The CIA armed them, funded them and
made a lot of promises which weren't kept. The geniuses figured these
guys would all pack up and go home when the evil Russians were expelled.
WRONG!

Clintons lack of integrity allowed 911 to happen.

I think Clinton is just as crooked as Bush, just on a smaller scale. The
way Clinton was selling pardons at the end of his term was disgusting.
Renting White House rooms to the communist Chinese for campaign funding
was another really bright act.

Hilary is another bit of power hungry garbage. Given that, they didn't
have anything to do with 9-11 and you know it.

Whose lack of integrity did this?

I'm starting to get the feeling that if Perle, Wolfowitz, Cheney et al
admitted on evening news that they invented this whole scenario, you'd
still be defending Bush. That is just irrational.

I haven't made up my mind on Moore yet. He's either very deluded or a
saint.

That's just another of your 'fairy tales'. Truth is, it's not going to
happen!

Steal our wood, water, oil, nickel, iron, coal, uranium, diamonds,
copper, aluminium and everything else you don't want to pay fair market
price for.

else!

Agreed. And of course NOTHING will come of the 911 inquisition.

Basically a
leftist partisan bashing of the Administration in an election year.

Clarke
is as much at fault as anyone! Yet being the partisan coward he is, its

the
blame everyone but me game.

Richard Clarke is a Republican. Are you confusing principles with
partisanship?

The terms left and right have lost all meaning over the years. Look at
the Labour government in England. It's more right wing than any party
there, including the Conservatives.

The politicos have developed the ability to 'morph' so efficiently that
they make the cocoon/butterfly transition look unnatural and awkward.
