- commercial posts to non-commercial Usenet groups
- posting off-topic
- posting binary files to non-binary Usenet groups
- posting non-binary files to binary Usenet groups
- excessive cross-posting between Usenet groups
- forging headers
- canceling messages posted by others
- posting make-money-fast pyramid scheme
