Good Lord, I heard Al Franken today - I think it was his
first show. He's carried on AM 1330, and I swear, I used
to *love* Alan Colmes' old show - HE could do radio! -
So, I do like liberal radio - or radio from any perspective,
so long as it's well done --

But Franken's going to be tankin'. It was so awful.

P.U. It's rare that I am truly bored. But I was. I actually
*wanted* to like Al's show, because he's a smart and funny
guy, but if he doesn't somehow juice up this show, it's going
to go down as one big ole clambake.

1330 should be blasting in - I've heard it all the way up in Saint Cloud,
even
as far as Spooner and Trego, WI, during the daytime.

Doggone it, I'm right next to 35E, and can practically see WWTC - AM 1280's
towers from here, but I live precisely in the deepest null of their antenna
system.
I can *barely* hear them at night. When I go 1.8 miles north on 35E, they
blow
the doors off, and again, I can hear them almost all the way to Thief River
Falls
at night! The Patriot is my favorite station here because they carry
Michael Savage,
but I still listen to Garage Logic with Joe Soucheray in KSTP in the
afternoon, on the drive
home.

Seriously, listen to 1330 tomorrow, I think Frankenfraud comes on at 11, but
maybe
it's noon. I got the last 4 or 5 minutes of their interview with Hitlery
Rotten Clinton
just before the 2 o'clock news, and it was just as bad as Wednesday. I'll
definitely
be listening tomorrow, because I am fascinated at the "awfulness" of this
programming -
it's like watching a train wreck!

what's made Rush so popular.. if Al Franken wants to build ratings points,
he needs to get into knock-down, drag-outs with his callers..

I'll have to agree. I rather expected Frankenfraud to come out swinging -
that would be GREAT talk radio! Sadly, though, it's as if he's sleepy,
and he tends to fall back on his Saturday Night Live - ish repertoire.
I can almost hear the "flop sweat" dripping from his forehead.

great from downtown St Paul all the way to my house in Anoka cnty. Yes, it
was a yawner. Not sure of the host but had Tim Penny on spewing about taxes.
I have a cabin near Luck, WI. I 'll have to try it there, I can usually only
get the Patriot there at night.

Luck, eh? My wife and I were looking at a farm for sale up in that neck of
the
woods. I seem to remember listening to The Patriot at least halfway there.
