Have you considered a used 700? It will likely perform as well - if not better - than a new 800, and will cost considerably less. Dan The sync' detector on the '800' is much better than the '700'. Someone thought I was crazy stating that used 700s go for less than new 800s. I provided my proof, and you just added more. Thanks. That's also what I meant when I said I would get an 800 if I could get a good deal on one. The $350 reconditioned ones seem to have disappeared from eBay. Simply not true. It is VERY MUCH true. I sold my Satellit 700 as it was a big disappointment to me. The Satellit 800 is superior to the 700. The sync detector on the 800 is superior to that of the 700. I purchased my 700 from Universal Radio and was so unhappy with it they exchanged it for another. Still a disappointment. My Sat 500 was much better than the 700 except that the sync detector on the 700 wasn't as flawed as the one on the 500. |
