Default DX 392 Parts Radio Wanted

Any one have a wasted DX392? I need the battery compartment, and it looks
like the battery compression spring is part of the rear case cover. Mine got
corroded with battery leakage and is gone.

Would you be able to use a spring from a Radio Shack battery holder?

Thanks Bill,

Unfortunately, the end piece where the spring makes contact is almost all
gone due to corrosion and it looks like it is molded into the plastic
housing. I think I am screwed.

I think I am screwed.

Sadly, it sure sounds like it.

I had the same thing happen to my 392. Fortunately, I caught it before
permanent damage was done. It still took a lot of cleaning to restore it to
operating condition.

I can have cells sit in things for years and nothing happens, but when one does
leak, it's always in some device that really gets screwed up by it.
