If there are any Linux users here, do any of you pipe your receiver
into the line in jack of your sound card and process it using software in Linux? I am trying to avoid days of searching and work if there might already be a method in use by someone else. Thanks, -Al A. -- remove NUNYA to email me ~/.signature |

I was thinking of doing various filtering for noise etc. in real time.

Do a Google from http://www.google.ca/linux (or .com) I use Audacity myself for treating recorded .wav files. -- Gregg *It's probably useful, even if it can't be SPICE'd* http://geek.scorpiorising.ca |

You can 'wire them' using the blocks you want. http://www.opensound.com/ossapps.html http://alsamodular.sourceforge.net/ http://linux.omnipotent.net/article....ticle_id=10916 Some misc. radio software http://software.freshmeat.net/browse...rby=&offset=40 nine or ten Linux software links at the bottom of this page. Some ham decoding software using the sound card input. http://www.g3vfp.org/download.html ============================================ Check out MULTIMON, too. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&ie...G=Search&meta= The multimon software can decode a variety of digital transmission modes commonly found on UHF radio. A standard PC soundcard is used to acquire the signal from a transceiver. The decoding is done completely in software. Currently, the following modes are supported: AX.25: 1200 Baud AFSK, 2400 Baud AFSK (2 variants), 4800 Baud HAPN, 9600 Baud FSK (G3RUH), POCSAG: 512 Baud, 1200 Baud, 2400 Baud and Miscellaneous: DTMF and ZVEI. ============================================= Good luck |
