Michael Bryant wrote: From: N8KDV Do the British spell embarassment with tow 'R's? Oh by the way... most of us spell it 'two'. Maybe you should spell words in American English. After all, you are the good humour man.... Darn right Fat Boy, I am indeed the good humour man. I don't lie and fabricate either! |

Michael Bryant wrote: From: N8KDV And you are an embarrassment to the academic profession oh PhD challenged one! Do the British spell embarassment with tow 'R's? Everybody spells embarrassment with two "r"s. It's the correct spelling. By the way as a speech instructor, doesn't the sentence "As a speech instructor, GW Bush is an embarassment to his nation" seem a little off to you, besides the spelling mistake? Bush has had a lot of jobs, but speech instructor is not one of them. |

Yes, I admit that an excess of communication with Steve Lare has lowered my writing skills. Sure Fat Boy... blame it on me! You gonna blame the fact that you don't have a PhD and that you lied about having one on me too? Or are you gonna pin that one on President Bush? |

Sure Mike, whatever you say. I have three kids in school, so we've got plenty of recent dictionaries in the house, not to mention there are a few on the net. If you have a dictionary that says "embarass" is acceptable, you really ought to consider replacing it. If you ever find yourself having to write something formal, and you rely on it, you could end up looking foolish. Here in rrs looking foolish is a requirement. |
