MWB,
If you are 'posting' "Directly-on-to-GOOGLE" via your ISP. Then GOOGLE may 'limit' you to a certain number of posts per 24 Hour period. [ If you use a News Reader {Service} then you may not have this problem. ] jm2cw ~ RHF .. .. = = = ocom (Michael Bryant) wrote in message = = = ... Michael 'I fabricate!' Bryant wrote: From: "-=jd=-" Unless you are way off the deep-end on some other newsgroup, I find it incredulous that AOL restricted your account due to your posting activity in here. If, as you say, you were unable to post to newsgroups, does that mean you were able to login and get far enough to determine that newsgroup posting was not available? That sounds to me more like AOL's news server was unavailable (maintenance, network-issues, whatever) - not that there was any sort of conspiracy or simple complaint that caused AOL to restrict your ability to post. There's no indication you should jump to a paranoid conclusion so quickly... This AOL Usenet reader would let me read, but not reply. Based on past experience, it's either someone making a complaint or AOL has some sort of maximum number of allowable replies in a 24-hour period. I was able to re-post this morning and found my self restricted again this afternoon. After calling AOL Tech service in Bombay, they were able to throw a switch and let me reply to USENET messages. Hope it lasts. Better apologise to me ****head... |
