Yes. It's Galei Zahal from Tel Aviv. 10kW targeted to Europe, but regularly heard here on the East Coast USA. Gal-atz as it is called in Hebrew is run by the Israel Defense Forces so that the kids in the army, etc, have something to listen to. The IBA domestic programs could be easily described as "old fart" radio. However since Galatz is under the government regulation to play almost, if not all Hebrew music, the army started another radio stattion Gal-Gal-Atz. (Galatz on Wheels). It was supposed to be a portable service deployed when the troops were on the move, but it has become a regular service with studios in Tel Aviv. Since it has no (official) fixed location, it's not a regular service and can and does play as much English rock as possible. They also have traffic reports, news, etc. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
