Hi Pete,
I believe it is in Edit-Preferences- (the section for composition probably or look in the Mail/Newsgroup settings) Honestly, I don't care since I wash all html anyway so I hope no one is offended by my statements. Telemon seems to have plonked me though. Hmmm. Cheers! Pete & Renee Davis writes: Hello Al, Thank you for your rationally presented points about my using HTML to post. Thanks to Drifter and to Dan for their informative instructions on posting in plain text in
Netscape 4.7. Dan, I've never had any problems with this browser. I have no desire to support Uncle Bill; besides, 95% of the computer bombs out there are aimed at his products. "Out of Date" technology is fine with me. That's why I do my woodworking by hand, and enjoy twiddling knobs on a radio at least as much as pushing tuning buttons. At least it was for me. Anyways, the Options menu when you are creating a message is where you want to look. You can change the format for the current message there. I don't know where the default is set - it's been too long since I've used Netscape. May I ask why you are still using it? Netscape 4.7 is possibly the worst browser/newsgroup client on the planet. Yes, I think he's plonked me too. His loss.
