Default shortwave receiver wanted

Hi
I live in the UK and I am just starting out in this hobby and only have a
small cheap sw-radio.
I am getting very interested in this but would like to be able to listen to
SSB transmissions.
Does anybody have a portable radio (not too expensive please) that they
would be willing to sell to me, (something along the lines of a YB400 or
similar) I looked on UK eBay but nothing available

thank you
Roger

I hope you check the group again... would make sense since you posted.
YB400 in UK

Other UK retailers have them too, and whatever the Sangean ATS-505
equivalent is for a Roberts brand... it has SSB also.

Some of the Roberts I have seen are way cool looking and quite a bit of $$,
don't know how well they work but some of the wood and leather are nice
looking!

The Roberts Shortwave radios are rebranded Sangeans.
But these Roberts FM/MW/LW models do look very cool...

Lots of longwave stations in Europe I understand.

The Sangean 505A . Roberts is a non-trivial set..

&
With a reasonable antenna, you can pick up all sorts of stuff
