the sticker shock: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9025 373&rd=1 Steve Holland, MI Drake R7, R8 and R8B http://www.iserv.net/~n8kdv/dxpage.htm |

Here's my version- a lot cheaper- and more stable: http://parelectronics.com/pics/regen2.jpg But alas, it's still not an Ocean Hopper.. 73, -- Dale W4OP for PAR Electronics, Inc. |

Possible water damage? http://www.virhistory.com/hi-fi/sale.htm Steve Holland, MI Drake R7, R8 and R8B http://www.iserv.net/~n8kdv/dxpage.htm |

Like most regens, it can be a little finicky tuning, but still lots of fun to play with. For serious work I use my version of Pete KE9OA's HF RX: http://www.parelectronics.com/pics_old/old/Pg150.jpg Dale W4OP |

Hi Steve, Only available by building your own. Here's the link: http://home.att.net/~n.gianakopoulos...act.html-.html The nice thing about building your own is that you can incorporate the features you need- AM sync, additional filters etc. And build it the way you want. The RX is pretty much surface mount so quite robust. I used mil spec switches, teflon wiring and all stainless hardware etc. Pete did a very nice design job. Dale W4OP |

An unbuilt Knight Ocean Hopper, watch out for the sticker shock: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9025 373&rd=1 The guy is on glue. It's a cute radio, but for the $800 range we've seen 2 NIB Drake R4b's. And for the $1400 range, we saw a LNIB SX-100 Mark 1. That aside, ur 59, good luck in the contest. |

Being a Knight-Kit Ocean Hopper makes it kinda rare and being a complete unbuilt kit makes it very rare. Eight hundred seems a bit high but there are those who collect unbuilt kits and whoever bids on it will be bidding because it is unbuilt and will probably keep it that way. Don't ask me, I really don't understand it either. |

Already built, but looks very nice, and the price (so far) is a lot less: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...92237 09&rd=1 Steve Holland, MI Drake R7, R8 and R8B http://www.iserv.net/~n8kdv/dxpage.htm |
