I'm listening to BBC there now via Antigua, though I think China is
underneath.

Apparently not China as I checked parallel freqs and found BBC with a
different stream there in English (to E. Asia). So they are currently
(1145) battling it out as it were on 6195.

The schedules on their web site show the transmitter location if you get
the graphic bar chart versions. For each region, get the text page of
the frequency schedule and take the "Frequency Chart with Transmitter
Details for this region" link. But you've got to get them all to find
out what's going on worldwide. (Never got around to that lately, I'll
have to find a way to automate that). http://www.bbcworldservice.com or
something like that.

The South East Asian chart shows Thailand and/or Singapore at 9:00
and Singapore from 11:00 to 17:00

The Central American/Caribbean and South American pages show 6.195
from 10:00 to 14:00. (Didn't get the graphic version so I don't know
where).

One insomniac night, I picked up at least three transmitters all
sending the same program. So there may be a European transmitter
in there too. That echo was too weird to listen to. And at times,
they're running different tracks.

And if you hear something that sounds like a Buddhist Preacher doing
an imitation of a Southern Baptist revival meeting, that's the
Mongolian program from the PRC, according to Passport. (Conjectu
there's a several million verse poem saga, a collection of tales
about a mythical hero performed by local bards throughout the area,
this may be performances of bits of that).

As long as 9.740 is coming in good enough, I stick to that for the Beeb.
