Hey folks...
I have a Sony 2010 with I've just dragged with me to Boston. I've found an amazing public park at the very tip-top of the city with only your average suburban interference within 25 to 30 feet. The 2010's whip performs okay here at night -- nothing outstanding in the DX department -- but I'm aching for a bit more juice. Would any of the available loop antennas help to enhance the experience at all? I don't unfortunately have many options as far as throwing wire in trees and the like, as I'd be DXing from a public park that has no lights after-dark, and I'd hate to trip or choke someone by accident. Plus from what I've heard, the 2010 doesn't play too nicely with random wire antennas. At any rate, please comment on any of these antennas, or others you might recommend instead, for outdoor public use... - Sangean AT60 - Kiwa Pocket Loop - Sony AN-LP1 Thanks in advance! |
