Default Anybody hear Canadian Arctic mil exercise?

The Canadian use HF a lot. Portions of their territory are not covered by
geostationary satellites, and there are vast areas involved. However, radio is
impacted by geomagnetic activity. But has anybody heard activity from this?"

Canada's cold war
ABOUT 600 members of the Canadian armed forces are currently engaged in
Operation 'Narwal', a three week exercise taking place in the Cumberland
Peninsula area of Baffin Island. The purpose of the exercise, the largest ever
held in the Canadian Arctic, are "to make sure that the rest of the world
understands that this is Canadian territory", according to Paul Martin, the
prime minister of Canada, who visited the region in August.
