A Silver-Star with "V" device? I don't think there is such
a critter!

Now there's a first. A military document with an error in it!

Who woulda thunk it?

Keeee-ripes! That's just screwey. If he, or anyone else, dorked around
with his records, you'd think he/they would have been smart enough to be
consistent with the "story line".

Four campaign stars when he could have only been present for, at most two
campaigns during his brief stint in-country?

They named the two stars that he earned; I'd like to know what those other
two campaign stars were for.

A Silver-Star with "V" device? I don't think there is such a critter! I
know the Navy does stuff in the weirdest way possible (Hi-Ya, Squids!),
but I don't know of any branch that adds the "V" to the Silver Star...

There's no such thing. It'd be like sticking a V(alor) device on the Medal
of Honor. In a word, redundant. Unless he wants to claim multiple awards of
the SS, and doesn't understand what oak leaf clusters and stars are for.
After all, he's got those three citations!

This is weird - beyond "Scary-Kerry" weird...

I had heard some rumblings a few weeks ago about this V for Valor issue and
was waiting eagerly for it to show up in the media.

I had noticed this apparent discrepancy when I was on Kerry's site looking at
the meagre amount of material there regarding his Navy 'records'.

To be sure, an error may occur. But when you have many errors for a single
individual... you *have* to wonder...

Is there fire where there's smoke?

Those errors are seared --- seared, into Kerry's memory.

LOL!!

If I may be so bold, you have to ham it up a bit like Kerry does:

*SEARED*!! *S-E-A-R-E-D*!!

Extra points if you can make your eyes water on-cue without plucking a
nose-hair.

dX - did you sell your R8B? Didn't see the winning bid on Ebay.

To me, a clerk adding the "V" device to the SS would be akin to the clerk
at the driver's license office adding a restriction of "Must Be
Accompanied By A Licensed Frozen Fish"... They *should* know that it's
*very* odd when they type it in.

As to being in four campaigns when he was only there for (at most) two,
that doesn't make sense either. I get the impression that Kerry and/or
some cohorts who didn't have a very firm grasp of the definition of a
campaign, were "sprucing up his resume" (so to speak) without having a
clear idea how to do it convincingly...

Then you have some dates that are out of place - like he was released
something like 6 years after he (reportedly) ETS'd. Reserve duty? He
hasn't mentioned any. Again, I get the impression that the actual time he
spent didn't seem impressive enough to someone, so they "stretched" it.

snip

Yep...I'm very interested in how this is all going to play out. It's
definitely worth watching.
