![]() "Diverd4777" wrote in message ... News blackout; fear of panic within the banking industry. ?? From: http://stormcarib.com/reports/2004/cayman.shtml - Cayman Devastation From: HappyNCayman AT cs.com Date: Wed, 15 Sep 2004 14:05:01 EDT The devastation is much worse than being reported. There is no power, water or land line phone service and These people definitely need some help and the word needs to get out there that it wasn't a "minor" brush I hope your friends survive the aftermath, which appears to be much worse than the storm itself. Leaving will be a good choice, when that is possible. Eventually, the almost incalcuable wealth of the underworld banking capital of the Western Hemisphere...may decide they need to improve the infrastructure for the servants that toll for them. There is about a ZERO percent chance of the US Military going there to help. But our USAF heavy lifters will certainly assist in getting needed supplies to the island. Ironic, as the Cayman Islands could buy it's own air force, and maybe it should. Jack |
