m: I am new to shortwave and want to buy Sony ICF-SW7600GR. I would be grateful if you give your valuable views on ICF-SW7600GR. Thanking you in anticipation. There is a good review here that will help you make up your mind: http://www.radiointel.com/portwars.htm I have the Sony and I like it but I don't know if I would recomend it for someone just starting with shortwave. The reason is that you have to use it with the wave guide or you will have trouble moving around the bands. There is no button to do this and no idicator of the Meter Band on the display. If you don't care about SSB reception the Grundig is fine for SW and is the cheapest of the 3. I must say though that the Kaito 1102 is probably a better radio than the Grundig and is fine for a beginner. It is smaller though and the sound isn't as good as the Grundig. |
