As for quoting published articles in newsgroups, there's always been a "fair use" exception to copyright that fits the practice. Luckily, our ancestors who created the law didn't worship property rights in such an absolutist way as this generation does. The "fair use" exception allows for a portion of an article to be quoted -- not the whole thing. |
