My wife has been itching for us to go shopping in Gatlinburg sometime during the next few weeks, and I know that Ten-Tec is located in Sevierville, which is right on our way. Is there any reason to make a side trip to Ten-Tec's facility? Do they have a retail store there? Or better yet, an outlet store? I've been there. Great experience. As others have said, they sell quite a few accesssories -- coax, antenna switches, antennas, and so on -- along with their stock. They also have a "shack" onsite where you can play with the radios. You can ask the sales guys any question (and unlike most sales guys, they are knowledgeable) and if they don't know the answer, they'll ask the designer of the radio and he may come out and chat with you. And for the smartasses, go ahead and ask about the '350 firmware -- you won't get a bull answer. While you're in the shack, the sales guy leaves you alone -- I spent hours playing with the RX-340. I eventually bought one, from them directly. If you need directions, call 'em and ask. -- Eric F. ![]() If you need directions, call 'em and ask. I've heard it's pretty easy to find. There is a big statue of Dolly Parton at the city limits. The left boob points to Dollywood and the right boob ponts at the Ten-Tec factory. HTH raoul |
