Default Humble and contrite apology to dxAce

Steve,
I have got sufficient confirmation (not a QSL) from my contacts in USA
to add the following to my Dassie DXpedition logs:

1510 Khz, 0255, 040915, "KGA" ID "Radio fifteen ten" with sports talk,
Spokane WA, USA, 50 Kw, 16,330 Km's/10,000 miles from DX site.

I apologise for holding out that long distance MW signals do not go over
mountain ranges, as this catch comes in over our 6,000 foot high Matroosberg
mountains and your 10,000 foot high Rockies. (would still like to hear Chile
or Peru though!)

Interestingly, the path to South Africa from Spokane lies to the East
directly over Boston, yet the 50 Kw TX there was not heard on that
frequency.

BTW, the WRTH is an invaluable resource handbook in helping to verify these
catches

regards and best of 73's

Some nice catches. The MW band here is hopelessy clogged, though at times I do
pick up what for me, are interesting receptions, but they are only continental
USA.

No apologies were necessary,

thanks,

dxAce
