A truely great set, (better even than the HF-150 !) the 225 has 4 IF
bandwidths, great sound, quality construction and a nice front end (the
HF-150 has no front end to speak of and has only 2 bandwidths) I have three
HF-225s and only use one (with wireless remote no less !) so I am
selling one at a real nice price. ONLY $350 plus shipping and I will even
iniclude 100 feet of antenna wire and a nice external speaker !!!!

I would say that the HF-225 is OVERALL better than most of the sets I have
had including the:

Yaesu FRG-7, 7000,7700,8800 and FRG-100
Kenwood R-1000, 2000 and 5000
Any radio shack/realistic set
Lowe HF-150
Bearcat DX-1000
any Satellit except the 800
Sony ICF-2010, and as a base, the 6800 (the 6800 is a better portable)

I have only two receivers that I regularly use, a satellit 800 and the
HF-225. either the rest is a collectable in my collection or I have sold it.
The 225 is made in England.
