Default VOLMET-New York Radio

** U S A. New York Radio is indeed back in business with VOLMET, run
across at 1310 UT Oct 1 on 6604-USB, and quickly // better 10051-USB,
with NE corridor VOLMET, ID around 1314, then SE weather, ``out`` at
1320, immediately replaced by a weaker station, presumably Gander.
When did they resume? Kudos to their announcer, who speaks quite
distinctly but does not sound robotic (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

New York Radio returns to the air --- Volmet broadcasts from New York
are once again being heard after about a year`s absence, all
frequencies heard --- 3485, 6604, 10051, and 13270 at 2300 G.M.T.
October 1, 2004, followed at 2320 by Gander Radio. Thought you may be
interested after all the losses we had on SW in the past several years

Don't forget to check 13.270mhz upper sideband for Gander/New York VOLMET
broadcasts as well!!!

6.754 is a good Gander freq too.

Only Gander on all four freqs for several days now.

6604.00 USB New York Radio very strong here S-9. Gander a bit weaker. Both
have great audio!
