The irony of the whole Irai WMD debacle is that Saddam Hussein was doing
head-fakes like he had something to hide to protect himself from IRAN, a far
more dangerous foe to the United States. So he was actually doing the United
States a favor. Y'know, the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
song-and-dance? So, ahem, American troops get bogged down in a quagmire, at
enormous cost to lives, budget and credibility -- with no end in sight --
with forces stretched at breaking-point -- and Iran didn't have to pay a
plug nickel to be more dangerous to the Mid-East and the United States. Mr.
Bush, you make good policy!!!
