Default So THAT'S what they were up to!! (FCC)

A few years back, the FCC set aside (after the proper regulatory dance) a big
block of spectrum around 5.8 GHz for the "Intelligent Highway" initiative.
I remember thinking, "is there a need for this?" believing it was for cars that
would drive themselves so you could snooze wile driving to work.
Uh uh.

Though the program has ominous privacy implications,
Creative Loafing reports none of the privacy-rights organizations it contacted
were aware of the government's plans.
