Hi MsJ, I was tuning through MW at 1335 this morning, and switched to the tropical bands at 1410. The Malaysian on 1475 was definitely there, but I had only brief bits of audio... MUCH poorer signal than on Oct. 6th. (4895 is/was coming in strongly, though) Overall it seems a below-average morning on MW for the splits. I had just threshold audio at best on 774, 891, 1071, 1377, and 1475. RRI Serui is "almost" on 4605 now, at very strong levels. Both receivers here zero-beat at 4604.997... but hey, what's a few Hertz between friends? A quick scan through 60 meters shows a number of Indians coming through, such as 4840 AIR Mumbai, 4910 AIR Jaipur, and 4920 AIR Chennai. I'm also hearing something on 5010 right now at 1444, which I hope is R. Natl. Malagasy, not AIR Thiruvanathapuram, as Madagascar is a much tougher catch from here. It's just about sunset in Antananarivo, so fingers are crossed for Madagascar. Hmm... now that I listen closer the language sounds to be a tribal or hill country Asian dialect :^( Does Madagascar come on prior to 1500? dxAce Michigan |
