rec.radio.shortwave is a free unmoderated news group -- so people post what
they darn well please
unfortunate but a fact of NG life.

Lots of good shortwave posts here -- just ignore the politics and off topic
stuff if you are so inclined.

Can you recommend a good one? I'm currently using XNews and have figured
out how to use the "plonk" or "killfile" function. Any other good or
better newsreaders out there?
