What's the best solution for this? I was thinking of a small FM transmitter like this: http://www.radioshack.ca/estore/Prod...roduct=1218989 , but I'm betting the range on these is very small. Per a suggestion in the shortwave group about 10 years ago, I bought a baby monitor set (runs on 49 MHz) at Target for about $30 and added a mic jack and capacitor to the transmitter, and earphone jack on the receiver. It's good for about 80 feet, although the receiver is crummy. (A low band VHF scanner could probably extend the range quite a bit). For a few more $, wireless speakers or earphones could be a better bet these days, as you can run more power on the 915 MHz band. Mark Zenier Washington State resident |
