The occasional third breast that I sometimes stumble across always throws me off my game. ![]() What's a breast, Mister Honus? What kind of game do you play with one? It's a walking game...-walking- abreast is the usual way it's done. To keep this at an appropriate level for "little michael II", I offer you this in response to the question: From www.dictionary.com a-breast: 1. Side by side: ships docked two abreast. 2. Up to date: keeping abreast of the latest developments. To keep this on-topic for the newsgroup, I urge you to focus on definition number two. SW is well suited for that purpose. Also, www.dictionary.com has a pronunciation guide if you run into any difficulties. Is it like Tennis or more like Badminton? Tennis is played with fuzzy balls, and the word "love" is used quite frequently. Badminton is played with a shuttlecock, or cock for short...although I hesitate to use the words cock and short in such close proximity to each other. So much for keeping it at an appropriate level. |
