Default 1710 NRC

Last weekend on 1710 kHz I heard a Morse Code station broadcasting. The
code was NRC and there was a series of tones before the code.

Can any ID this?? Is it an expeerimental station??

Thanks in advance.

I believe that's a signal from the NRC (National Radio Club). They do some
equipment tests in that range. I believe that you can also be notified of AM
DX tests on the extended broadcast band if you check he
http://www.ircaonline.org/.

Good luck~

This station was located in Ohio, running less than a watt to a
directional (west) sloper. Heard well here in Middle Tennessee,
Recording on http://www.w9wi.com/audio/nrc.mp3 .
