Hello All.
I too have a Sangean ATS-606AP as well as the Sony ICF-7600G and GR models. For several years, my Sangean was my travel radio. It was a very good performer but last year I noticed that it would lose certain frequencies I had programmed into it. At first I thought it was some error on my part, but I have found that that was not the case. This has gotten worse and worse. In other words, it appears that the memories and/or tuning facilities are starting to "go" and, of course, you really can't have one of these radios "fixed." Therefore, this year I took one of my '7600Gs with me on vacation, sadly "retiring" the Sangean. (I really liked its size for travel.) Frankly, the Sony greatly outperformed the Sangean in California. Best, Joe |
