Default Satellite Radio Questions

Hello radio fans: I am interested in setting up a Satellite Radio
receiver at home such as XM radio for example.

I do not understand all of the things I need to buy to do this.

Already, I have a digital stereo with speakers and a AUX. input.
(Philips Magnavox FW545C).

I would like to use this digital stereo and simply connect what I need
to connect so that I could enjoy and experience satellite radio.
Without buying unnecessary things. (I do not have a car!!!!!)

What do I need to buy?

Which satellite Radio receiver offers more talk & less music?

Are the satellites in the sky reliable? (I am in North America EST.)

Are their any interference?

Where do I place the antenna? (I live in an apartment building)

Does this works like a cell phone?

Are any of the stations coming from medium wave band?

Is satellite radio putting broadcast radio out of business?

Is Art Bell (Coast to Coast AM) on satellite radio?

Will short-wave ever be on satellite radio?

Is the FCC involved with satellite radio?

Are their any commercials?

Is this new medium open to free speech?

Are most people moving on to satellite radio?

What can we expect in the future from satellite radio?

Thank you!
