Nothing whatsoever to do with shortwave radio, AM radio, FM radio, small radios, large radios, tabletop radios, portable radios, sellers of radios, people on the radio, stupid radio tricks which are for kids, what his wife said about another radio, comments on the relative importance of radios v antennas, fs, fa, wtb radios, parts, books, the theory and practice, as well as the care and feeding, of electrolytic capacitors, where your wife said she was going to put the next radio you buy, how much people of e-bay pay for radios, the moral superiority of 220/50 over 110/60, why almost no one ever complains about 60 (or fifty) cycle (or Hertz) hum from flashlight batteries, the frequencies on which this, that and the other are broadcast, long wave reception and the funny names longwavers give to phenomena, whether buying a Boston Acoustics is a rather tiviloi matter, the pontificatioins of just everybody on the stereo jack that graces many of the Sangean antenna inputs, a critique of whomever owns the Grundig trademark this week and the radio that is coming out in the next 6 - 8 months, cell phones and RadioShack, the future of shortwave, is sending the internet over wires a power play, where did this DJ go, KDKA and my first crystal radio, almost none of the others are built in the United States (and/or Britain), why domestic sw is illegal, immoral and fattening in the United States, taking a lead from tourists from the USA and there is a new model of shortwave radio out with a special audio amplifier so that if you one doesn't understand the language being broadcast, the listener can turn it up until s/he does understand. So - because this MnMikew wack barges in with his political bellowings - I'm going to plonk this arse in the hopes that if s/he/it breeds, at least I won't know about it. ++ gray // |
