Why? |

Why? Curiosity. ----------------- On http://www.uvolk.de/ , the China Radio International is East is Red (Dong1 Fang1 Hong2) on trumpets The Xizang (Tibet) is the March of Volunteers, the national anthem. Often you will hear a few notes of East, then March and ID over the end. The March is being used a lot to inculcate patriotism lately, on TV now in Hong Kong. http://www.intervalsignals.net/ has a vintage East is Red (Russian Service, their most important service) East = Dong as in Mao ZheDong http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~RP4N-KWM...nd2/index.html has a set of date-stamped IS. Modern China rarely uses IS, but does have opening themes. This site has fun http://www.morningsun.org/multimedia/music.html From January of this year, notes on songs during Mao's time |
